Typhoid is an old disease that continues to cause problems across the world. Join Alice Liddell – in Wonderland – for a tour through the dramatic history of early typhoid control. Help provide safe water for Oxford’s inhabitants, solve a set of mysterious typhoid outbreaks in Alice’s city, and learn what you can do to help control typhoid in the present.

SANITATION & TYPHOID IN OXFORD (1850-1887)
Poor drainage and the lack of sewers meant that low-lying parts of Oxford were described as “a swamp converted into a cesspool” in 1850. See the changes in water and sanitation structures that transformed the city.

TYPHOID SWALLOWERS
