How do Vaccines Work?

To understand how vaccines work, it helps to learn how vaccines harness the natural activity of your immune system. This short animation explains how vaccines allow the body to make the right sort of antibodies to protect against a particular disease.

Safe and effective vaccines are an important tool for typhoid control. Early trials of first-generation vaccines showed they worked but were often conducted without informed consent.
